Anthony Kastner woke up annoyed and uncomfortable. The living room couch where he’d fallen asleep had a loose spring and it had been poking him in the back all night. It didn’t help that it smelled of the curry he’d spilled last night and hadn’t bothered to clean up. He’d simply fallen asleep while watching late night television. And now between the spring, the morning light flooding in through the drapes and the news coming from his T.V he’d given up all hope of falling back to sleep.
“Good Morning Luminite City! It’s six o’clock on this clear Saturday September 14th and I’m Jessie Clark,” the male news anchor said. A smile was plastered over his tired face.
“And I’m Daisy Fields,” the female news anchor finished. She seemed genuinely perky.
